By the end of the project, VIROFIGHT will deliver:
Prototypes, design, and assembly details of virus-engulfing DNA and protein-based nanostructures, adaptable to accommodate enveloped and non-enveloped virus particles of different size.
A rapid aptamer-selection pipeline that works with purified virus solutions and with patient serum.
Sequences of virus-binding DNA or RNA molecules featuring fixed terminal extensions for hybridization or conjugation to DNA- or protein-based virus-engulfing carrier structures.
Data from neutralization assays that allow a quantitative assessment of the virulence-reducing potential of virus-engulfing nanostructures
